Ok nerds, looks like I’ve been chosen for the battle of the blogs. If you think I’m fresh and nerdy….vote for me (or else). What’s in it for you? I’m glad you asked. Well, here’s your answer:

  • the chance to make me feel like I have a super awesome following (Voltron form!)
  • the chance to exercise your mouse clicking finger more than you already do
  • opportunity to kill some time while you’re at work *wink*
  • voting for me can help you quit smoking
  • and last but not least, if you vote for me….I’ll buy you a drink if I see you at my local pub

You can either click on the image above or click here to VOTE FOR ME. Ok that’s all….vote for me. Laters.

Spotted this joint over at the Dopeboyz spot and had to snatch it up. This is one of my new favorite artists teaming up with one of my old favorite artists. This doesn’t disappoint at all and if you’re not up on RJD2 or Kenna, please check out their catalogs if you like alternative music.

The reason I say sort of is because I’m still uncertain about the blue highlight of the current day, but other than that I have my colors in order now. So to all of you nerds out there that would like for me to put your events on my calendar (please keep it art related), hit me up through my contact form. And for those of you that have no clue what I’m talking about, look up at the top of the screen above my banner. Now back to our scheduled programming…

new year

Well its been 6 mos. since I first started this little idea of a blog that I call Fresh Nerd. I definitely want to thank those that have followed me thus far. In the coming months I have many ideas/plans that I will be tossing around and testing throughout the site (ignore them until I tell you otherwise). I look forward to the new year and further branding of the Fresh Nerd “movement” (it’s not a game, yo). I wish all you nerds prosperity and good health…Thank You All

So I’m sure you nerds have heard that once again Mr. West had a run in with the razzi last weekend in London. Surprised?? Maybe you are and maybe you aren’t…I am not too surprised myself but the question I ask is “does he have a right?” Of course he does….if somebody invades your space, 9 times out of 10 there will be a natural reaction to remove that person. As a matter of fact, we were born with this natural instinct (remember what happened to the kid that tried to play with your Transformer without authorization??….same concept here). I guess the thing that gets me is that he is almost shocked that these people will do anything to get pictures. When you’re one of the biggest superstars in the world, you should know that this comes with the territory (just ask Britney Spears). In closing I have some words of advice for both ‘Ye and the paparazzi:

Kanye – don’t be surprised when your picture gets taken

Paparazzi – don’t be surprised if you lose a camera and an eye in the process

I found a great article over at New York Times regarding former employees that believe they have a chance of taking down the big dawg of search engines (Google). Now for those of you that aren’t complete nerds, Google is on its way to conquering the Universe (if you don’t believe me, click here). Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the underdog but umm…..lets just say its wise to pick your battles. Anna Patterson, former Google employee, had a hand in implementing and designing some of the major features of Google as we know it today. Anna and her husband will be unveiling their new search engine, cuil.com (pronounced cool), in the near future. Supposedly, their search engine will be superior to Google when it comes to returning relevant search results and displaying them as well. I had to see if this held true so I ventured over to their website. Low and behold, it IS a better layout. As far as search results, well……lets just say I searched for my blog name and I wasn’t in the top two pages. Whereas, I’m usually number one on Google. And the winner is……….well, I’ll let you nerds visit and decide for yourselves.
