Jack Splash brings us his latest since PlantLife. I found out about Jack from my bass player, Dale Jennings, that toured with Plant Life in Europe. If you’re not familiar with Jack, he’s an artist and a crazy ass eclectic producer. Some of the artists he’s worked with include Jazmine Sullivan, Alicia Keys, Estelle, Cee-Lo, Solange, John Legend, Raheem DeVaughn, Anthony Hamilton and more.
This mixtape is not what you expect though. Jack delivers odd but interesting rhymes over sick retro synth laiden tracks that combine elements of the 70′s and 80′s creating a genre of his own. If you’re open minded and want to treat your ears to something different and refreshing, download and prepare for a mind fcuk.

The homie cARTer drops his latest offering with yet another classic album cover. Definitely FreshNerd worthy….if you’re not up on cARTer, he hopped on a song I produced featuring LaNiece McKay and gave me a mean 16 bars. Definitely check out his latest mixtape….cause I said so.

It was just the other day I was complaining about not being able to find some hot new music. Today I was just browsing through twitter and came across a Texas producer/MC named Symbolyc One (S1). Not sure what prompted me to check out his myspace page (I hate myspace with a capital ‘H’) but I did and uhhh….this dude has some serious heat. Being a producer myself, it takes a lot for me to give it up like this to another producer unless he has some serious talent and a unique ear. S1 is a combination of 9th Wonder/Nottz/and Dr. Dre (kinda) but from Texas. Do yourself a favor and check out this mixtape and thank me later….
