For 12 days next month, you will be able to take a tour of the Mayfair flat in which Hendrix lived, entertained, wrote, and probably did drugs. This should be pretty fresh to go see, I think I may get my tickets sooner than later before everything is sold out as you should too.
The flat will be open from September 15 to 26. Details and tickets can be purchased at HandelHouse.org

Venue: Black Dog (10a Acton St, London WC1X 9NG)
Dates: 20th August until 16th September 2010
Open: Monday to Friday, 12-5pm

“Marsea Goldberg of New Image Art in Los Angeles will be visiting Mexico City this August as guest curator for “THE LOST ONES” collective show in FIFTY24MX Gallery.
New Image Art has been one of the key galleries of the underground art movement on the west coast for the past 15 years. Founder and director, Marsea Goldberg, and FIFTY24 have been responsible for launching many of the most name recognizable artists of the movement – and this collaboration of FIFTY24 and New Image in Mexico has resulted in a star-studded collective show featuring work by Tim Biskup, Gary Baseman, Shepard Fairey, Matt Furie, Richard Colman, Date Farmers, Neckface, Kime Buzelli, Judith Supine, Retna, Cleon Peterson, Herbert Baglione and Miss Bugs. With these artists spanning multiple genres comes a communal visual experience featuring one eyed monsters, masked heroes, vampire chicks, dear headed children, cannibals in bikinis, folkloric robots, flower eyed girls, and even cracked-out Muppets.
The opening reception to the show will occur on Friday, August 13th, 2010 at 6:00PM and will run until Saturday, October 16th.”

The exhibition is open now and the show will run until the 24 August 2010

Spotted over at Global Grind:
On July 28, the California African-American Museum (CAAM) in Los Angeles will host an exhibit featuring African-Americans and Polynesians in skateboarding, surfing and roller skating entitled How We Roll. This show will feature artwork and photography by prolific skaters and surfers such as Glen E. Friedman, Grant Brittain, Jim Goodrich, Lance Dawes, Atiba Jefferson, Neftalie, Keith ‘K-Dub’ Williams, and pioneering black female skater Stephanie Person. This exhibit will run until January 2011.
Check out the video inside of the post which is a look into the world of black skateboarders, including interviews and footage of some of the most talented members of the Zoo York Skate team.

This looks like it will be interesting, details below:
