Sidenote: I read a very interesting article today on Brian Eno and how he was originally an art student that ended up using music as his medium of choice back in the 60′s. He stated the school he studied at pushed the students to experiment with different forms and mediums. #Random

Miami, Florida – Art N Hustle in partnership with artist Nate Dee are curating a summer art show entitled  Secrets, Regrets, Joys… and Truths from June 10^th – 11^th, 2011.   Secrets, Regrets, Joys… and Truths will feature works of art that explore the more subtle moments of life (secrets, regrets, joys, and truths) as expressed by Nicole Ricca, Todd Elliot Mansa, Nathan Delinois, and Vanessa Craan. The event will take place from 8PM until 12AM at Villa 221, which is located at 221 NE 17th Street, Miami, FL 33132 (305)416-5280 just outside of the wynwood art district.

Little Secrets, Regrets, Joys… and Truths will showcase a solid line of emerging contemporary and urban art to the South Florida Art scene.  This show will appeal to both sides of the art world – fine and urban.

“” We want to change the perception of what urban art is, a genre that doesn’t get much respect to garner the buying power that others do. This is the first exhibit of many to if not change the minds of the art community at least open them to what “urban” is categorized as.”” says Art N Hustle Founder Corey Knight.

“Quentin vs. Coen – a tribute to the films of Tarantino and the Brothers” which will be opening at Bold Hype Gallery in New York City this coming April 7th. The show features over 100 artists, each reinterpreting their favorite films, characters and scenes from the many excellent films of Quentin Tarantino and the Coen Brothers.

Hell yea! The homie Dane sent me over some pics from his latest street art movement, DST to Infinity. The imagery that comes out of his imagination is pretty unique. He reminds me of a more street version of Derek Hess which is what originally drew me to his work.

Yep, you read it right. Swizz revealed his first piece to the public which is mixed media (photos on top of acrylic). Pleasant surprise that Swizz is talented with the brush. His new website is soon to launch, so stay tuned for more.

“L.A. based street artist Retna, took some time to talk with L.A.’s newest website LAFWD.org to discuss his newest piece that can be seen in Downtown L.A.’s skid row called “Blessed Are The Meek.” The mural was created with fellow artist El Mac and photographer Estevan Oriol for The Jonah Project, a church operating in a converted warehouse on 6th St. and Crocker Street.”
