I’m mad late on posting this one….well, I was mad late hearing about Nneka in general, but good music is timeless. Nneka is a Nigerian-German singer and songwriter with unique talent that we only get to see a couple of times every 5 yrs or so. UK’s Sunday Times even declared her 2005 release, ‘Victim of Truth’, “the year’s most criminally overlooked album”, comparing it to ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’. Very big comparison…..I haven’t sat with the record yet but definitely will start working my way backwards through her catalog after hearing her ‘Heartbeat’.
