FreshCuts will be a new category that will be popping up on FreshNerd every now and then. FreshCuts are album cuts that I find dope and post worthy. Plus, it gets boring constantly posting singles that all of the other blogs are all posting….right? First up is ‘Deep’ off of Elzhi’s last un-mixedtape. This joint is crazy as Black Milk put his John Hancock on the track with the filtered sample and knockin drums while Elzhi holds his weight on the mic.

Hemway Industries is proud to announce the launch of a new print by David Choe, “Haitian Girl”, with all proceeds being donated to benefit the Haitian Relief Effort.
Personally paying for the cost of the prints, David Choe created “Haitian Girl” with all proceeds going to Yéle Haiti, a foundation created by Wyclef Jean. “Haitian Girl” measures 18×24 and is a giclée print on archival paper. Limited to 50 editions, the print is hand-signed by David Choe and costs $300. The print is available now for pre-sale but will not ship until February 21, 2010.
David Choe’s next solo exhibition featuring new works, “Character Assassination” opens on February 5, 2010 at FIFTY24SF Gallery.

FunFact: I remember seeing Swizz in South Beach like 10 yrs ago. My boys were pressuring me to go and hand him my beat CD but I didn’t (shout out to Soup, Dru1, and AlMo). Do I regret it? Hell no….I listened to that same beat CD the other day and that shit is wacker than the wackest artist on your top 10 wack artist list (I was just starting out).

I spotted the talent of this 17 yr. old artist over at Pharrell’s new website ARTST.com. This portrait was crafted by Julissa Peralta by painting on the bottom of cans. It’s good to see talent and creativity at a young age.
