We are pleased to launch the first podcast in a new series called SVEDKA Vodka Future Music Series. The podcasts are hosted by acclaimed London-based DJ, Benji B of Deviation on BBC 1Xtra. Each episode will feature a variety of artists and emerging acts from around the globe, crossing genres from soul and hip hop, to electronica and dubstep, to rock and much more. The best in future sounds, the SVEDKA Vodka Future Music Series presents just-released and unreleased music.
In the first podcast, Benji B highlights the music of Kylie Auldlist, Silky, Silhouette Brown,Wale, The Hawthorne Headhunters, Kareem Riggins and The Pimps of Joytime.

Here is a joint from Kev Brown which I’m feelin. It kinda has a RZA vibe to it (‘94 RZA) as he delivers rhymes in a Pete Rock fashion over the track. Great to see Kev getting his music out. He’s definitely an underrated producer.

All beatheads should know Waajeed….if not, smack yourself. Waajeed has provided musical backdrops for several artists but most notable for his group the Platinum Pied Pipers. This track is off of the Blu Jemz compilation titled “Beat Machine”. A must listen for anybody that’s into beats.

Some of the artwork may be challenging but we do intend for the exhibition to be child friendly and with food stalls and beer available in medieval proportions we aim to make it an entertaining family event.
Needless to say, I’ll be there this weekend to check it out. I’ll have pics for you nerds next week…
