FreshPick: London Police @ Stolen Space Gallery – Ten Years On The Circle Line

10 years from the birth of the London Police, the two original founders of this London crew rejoin to bring the people a new show featuring some new work.

While one artist’s skill at drawing a circle ‘freehand’ is staggering, no compasses, guides or masks are used. While the other, since his departure in 2004, has developed his own imagery, an architectural style of line drawing. In these playful fantasy cityscapes ‘the lads’ are constructed and move around freely, in turn helping to build further elements of the city. They wanted to create a place full of interaction between their circle drawing and line drawing.

FreshPick: Black Milk – Mo Power

This joint is retarded….shouts to Michelle @ Audible Treats:

Never one to shy away from the mic for too long, Black Milk recently leaked a brand new web-exclusive track entitled “Dreams,” and now delivers the more experimental “Mo Power,” which finds Black weaving in and out of a jazz loop that few emcees could handle.

Walrus TV Interview Feature: Babylon Falling Book Store

Courtesy of WalrusTV:

“Revolution is all around us…without revolution we would not be here, the smallest things people take for granted.” Sean Stewart founded Babylon Falling, a bookstore devoted to all things revolutionary. Situated in San Francisco, the hotbed of radicalism, the city’s rich history paved the way for a bookstore like Babylon Falling. Celebrating change and revolution in all of its aspects, Babylon Falling features over 3,000 titles, spanning history/theory of revolution to literature and graphic novels. After two years as a breeding ground for aspiring activists, Babylon Falling is shutting its doors at the end of June. If you haven’t been to the store yet, or even if you have, be sure to say farewell – Babylon Falling has secured its place in the dialogue of change.
