Lil Wayne – Prom Queen

lil wayne - rebirth

Soo….hmm….well I agree that he had to take a new direction. He couldn’t have made a bigger hip hop album than Carter III, but not sure if I’m feelin’ this song. This is the first single off of the Rebirth album to be released on April 27th. I got a sleep on it, what do y’all nerds think? Lets talk about it…

***UPDATE: So I got word from Dre (Cool & Dre) that this is NOT the single off of the album, but a promo for AT&T. On top of it, this is not Cool & Dre produced either. FYI nerds…

FreshPick?: Japanese Cartoon – Heirplanes

lupe fiasco

If you haven’t heard yet, Lupe Fiasco has started a band. They definitely have an indie punk euro feel going on, but the twist is the band states that their front man is not Lupe Fiasco. Here is what they had to say:

Percival Fats (Born Percival Hindenburg-Fats) Is NOT Lupe Fiasco (Born Wasalu Muhammad Jaco). Although he is a dear friend. Lupe does finance the band but is NOT I REPEAT NOT THE SINGER IN JAPANESE CARTOON. He is however the producer and we value his participation very much.

Hmm…I’m not a voice recognition professional, but c’mon…really?? If this ain’t Lupe then call me O.J.
