Whatever you think of “Percival”‘s attempt at a Brit-punk accent, you have to admit it’s an interesting move. After innumerable years of British acts faking US accents, and a trend in the last few years for American rock types to affect English timbres, this must be the first (apparently straight-faced) attempt by a rapper to switch sides. OK, he’s not really rapping on “Heirplanes”, but that just adds another layer of intrigue to the whole affair, no?
