Ab Soul is representin’ that New West (IMO at least). This video has been making its way around the internet and for good reasons. It is low budget but it still delivers due to its creativity and Ab’s wordplay. This kid got lyrics!! It’s been a minute since I’ve heard a new artist wow me with words (last MC was Lupe), but if you listen to his lines you will understand how a real MC operates and pieces unusual words together.

Threw on my army fatigue shorts and a tee that says “Peace Not War” and now everybody eyein’ me. I don’t know If I need an iron or it’s the irony.
