I know this article is a bit old bit I just have to write about glaring inaccuracies in a couple of the comments. Bionic man is absolutely correct, Hawking did state that the Universe had to come from something. What he is so conveniently leaving out is pretty much what he meant by that. He did NOT mean that a “god” created the universe. Hawking is a well known Atheist, as are about 98% of scientists.
What Hawking meant by that is his soap bubble universe theory. Meaning that our universe is one of many universes, that much like a bathtub full of bubbles, our universe is just one of millions if not trillions of universes. THATS what he meant.
Please don’t take an acclaimed scientists words and twist them to meet your ridiculous religious agenda.

On one hand you say that you are for the freedom of religion yet do not agree that the religious have a right to vote on laws based on their religious beliefs.. Such as the W. administration is doing…

Be assured that Christianity will not be pushed on you by any mortal. In fact, the direction this country is going, you will be hard pressed to find any religion when it is over. They attack the strongest and most predominant first. For this country, they will wipe out Christianity first and then the rest. You can count on the Socialized regime of the Obama party. Because I would like to practice my religion without having christianity pressed on me. My interpretation:
I think this piece represents the government (W.) acting in a way that is similar to Hitler and his followers and how it is killing Americans(*see Iraq War). This is my interpretation. However you would like to interpret, then please feel free. Do not attack my character based off of ASSumptions.
