FreshPick: Charles Hamilton – Ambitions of Musicians
I kept seeing dude’s name everywhere on the net and hearing about “pink”,so I finally decided to give him a listen. My conclusion you ask? Well, still 50/50. I’m going to have to hear some more from him. It looks like he just got signed to Interscope and Green Lantern co-signs for this kid, so I guess I have to like him now. Hungry?? Here, Have Some Chips
Let me start by saying that I’m not big on conspiracy theories or talk of New World Order, but after watching this clip I realized that we may not be too far off. If you thought HMO medical plans were controlling (I know from experience), medical insurance companies are taking it a step further with microchip implants. Of course they’re telling us it is for the patient’s benefit only, but I think ulterior motives are being set in place. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…..

Amazon Wants a Piece of My Space
It looks like Amazon wants in on the whole MySpace Music ordeal. According to TechCrunch,
MySpace Music will likely partner with Amazon to handle all music e-commerce transactions, we’ve heard from multiple sources. Apple and Rhapsody are also bidding for the business, however, and one source says a final decision hasn’t yet been made.
I’m not sure exactly how well this whole MySpace Music will hold up but if Apple wins this bid it might be in MySpace’s best interest. One question comes to mind though, what happens to everybody that is on the current platform. Will they all be migrated to this new MySpace Music platform? I’m assuming so because it would be ridiculous to have everyone start from scratch, but what about those profiles that aren’t bands? Will they be forced into purchasing a subscription? If so, that may leave a bad taste in the user’s mouth leading to a not so great launch of their new service. I guess we’ll find out in a couple of months as the company unfolds (or folds).
